Oh wow, I'm laughing pretty hard.

You know how many people complained about Tests for Maat? "Oh no I have to farm another ~1hr to retry" compared to "Oh no I have to farm countless more zeni (200k+) and kill tons of ZNMs for another 2~5 months"

ha ha ha

SE REALLY does NOT want ANYONE to complete these "right away" type deal. Yet SE just lets people blow through missions in 1hr after release. Besides those crappy wait til JSE midnight forced things.

I assume obtaining "Relief of Zahak" is done by clearing Balrahn BC fight.
Reason is DAT miners have said you receive your fully unlocked mythic weapon after Nyzul BC fight.
This is speculation, of course.

This sounds right now. As the Hydra is called Zahak at the start of solo BC. Then turns into Balrahn.

Okay, so some people are saying in the BC solo fight you need to do the Mythic WS 100tp, 200tp, then 300tp. Ok that's fine, but um what? This weapon is supposed to *give* you the mythic WS. The quests we did were *alternate* methods and have nothing to do with it or affect it.

Arms of Balrahn Quest Additions

Supplementing the amendments listed above, the coming version update will also introduce a new battlefield to round out the Arms of Balrahn questline. Victory in this battlefield, along with successful completion of the relevant quests, will cause the mythic weapons first obtained in the ruins of Nyzul Isle to transform, recalling their original powers and rendering them capable of devastating new job-specific weapon skills.

These weapon skills will also be obtainable by players not in possession of finished mythic weapons via completion of weapon skill quests, also new to the upcoming version update.
Once unlocked, they will be available for use whenever a player equips a weapon of the same type on the appropriate job. Though the destructive power of the attacks themselves will remain unchanged regardless of the quest completed to obtain them, only execution with a mythic weapon will grant the powerful Aftermath effects. The new weapon skill acquisition quests were developed with the aim of affording all players the ability to enjoy some the exciting new content we have planned, while at the same time not diminishing the value and prestige of the completed mythic weapons. Whichever path you may choose to embark upon, we wish you the very best of luck on your adventures!

1st Bold: Mythic weapon unlock gives "new" WS, stats, and aftermath during the different series of quests (4 or 5 total I think)

2nd/3rd Bold: SE offered alternate way to get new WSs, so ppl don't feel left out (because lol at ANYONE completing mythic since this was announced August? until now Dec, and even for many more months to come)

Same update also had this:

Arms of Balrahn Quest Adjustments

One of the uncountable legacies left by that most famous of Aht Urhgan emperors, Balrahn, was his unparalleled collection of what have since come to be known as "Mythic weapons." Much like their Dynamis counterparts, the relic weapons, these weapons were designed with the intention of being markedly difficult to obtain, as befits their value as prestige items. There are several points of departure between the two weapon groups, however, including both the series of questlines required to procure them, as well as the weapons' attributes themselves. Whereas the successful upgrading of a relic weapon demands that a player repeatedly participate in Dynamis runs, and subsequently requires a potentially large sum of gil, the mythic weapons are tempered by players fulfilling a series of conditions over a prolonged period of time. Though the means of acquiring relic and mythic weapons may differ greatly in many respects, a number of factors were taken into account before the introduction of the latter to ensure that the eventual time required for obtaining them would be roughly equivalent.
That being said, it has since come to our attention that one of the prerequisites, namely that concerning the amassing of alexandrite, has greatly surpassed the original intentions of the development team. At present, the number of pieces of alexandrite required is recognized to be in excess of a reasonable amount.

Um lol? You don't need to do Dynamis. You only need gil. I do not count needing Test/Frag because it only takes a "few" runs depending on luck in BCD.

Mythic over prolonged period of time? They aren't kidding, it takes 5 years to gather the Alex from Salvage if you don't buy any. (Split, you can't "sponsor" Salvage)

So no. The 2 Relic/Mythic do not differ in any way. Each one requires gil, and gil alone. Yes Mythic has extra quests that require ~1 year of doing, but that just adds to the stupidity of Mythic costing so much, sometimes more, than relic. And stops people from cranking out Multi-Mythics, like oh so many people do with old relics. Some people are on their 7th relic

Basically what I'm trying to say is when you require something can be bazaared, and TONS of it, then all you need is tons of gil. Nothing is different. Great work SE, all you did was add a 1 year+ timesink to having 100+mil so people couldn't crank them out right away & faster than relics.

Edit: So it seems the base weapon you get from quest just before BC does "give" you the mythic WS. As you need to preform it at all 3 levels to win the BC.

The first Mythic weapon Burtgang! :o

The Aftermath!...

The part you've all been waiting for. I've only done preliminary tests, but here is what I found so far.

The Aftermath effect lasts for 60/90/120 seconds for Lv1/2/3 respectively.
Lv1 receives an Accuracy bonus. (unsure how much, will test further)
Lv2 receives an Attack bonus. (20~60 ATK I believe, will need to test further - 299TP gave me 347ATK > 406ATK)
Lv3 receives a Double Attack bonus. (pretty high double attack rate, like Joyeuse)
The bonus for each level is unique and will NOT combine with other bonuses.
The accuracy and attack bonus varies depending on the amount of TP beyond the 100 and 200% mark.
You can progress from Lv1 to Lv2 and from Lv2 to Lv3 by performing the mythic WS with enough TP for the next level. -- Meaning, 100tp WS > Lv1 AM > 200tp WS > Lv2 AM > 300tp WS > Lv3 AM.
You can refresh/overwrite Lv1 Aftermath by performing a 100~199TP WS. However, Lv2 and Lv3 AM cannot be renewed.
Atonement damage is the same; there were no damage enhancements. (I think..)
That's a huge letdown... so basically to get the Ocassionally attacks twice you have to use Mythic WS @ 100~199>200~299>300 TP in that order (so basically 600 TP) and accuracy/attack bonuses don't stack with double attack, you can't refresh AM at lvl 2 or 3 (they have to be done in order again when lvl 3 AM wears off start 100~199>200~299>300 cycle again to regain double attack), and Mythic WS doesn't do anymore damage with Mythic Weapon :(
